Conversion of an existing emblematic Drummondville factory, built in the 1950s, which manufactured lighting fixtures. The whole conversion resulted in a 425,000sf state of the art foundry. We were awarded the contract using the fast-track construction management formula. As we proceeded with the demolition, plans were provided to rebuild the building into 6 sections. In order obtain a building able to sustain the weight of the very heavy foundry equipment, we had to strengthen the structure as well as reinforce the building foundations with piles, repair plant slabs and bring the whole structure up to standard.
